How many people just don’t get it? I am astonished at the vast amount of people that actually don’t! You are on a path to losing if you are one of those people.
Every day I see more and more companies and individuals posting content to their social media channels without their clients/prospective clients in mind at all! Why do people think that posting only about their products, their promotions and their everything else that provides no value at all is going to get them new clients? You have to provide value before you are going to receive it! People just don’t get it, but why don’t you? You need to answer that question very seriously or it could cost you severely.
It is certainly ok to post about your products and promotions ETC, but not every post! People want value and they want you to prove that you’re an expert in what you do and if you can’t do that well why should they come to you in the first place? I can’t believe that in 2017 people still think they can just post rubbish content to their social media channels and think its gonna be a good reflection of their brand and bring in business.
Why are you waiting? Are you prepared to lose business and suffer because you don’t have your clients in mind? Instead, you’re thinking about you! You need to stop today and start getting serious about social media and accept the fact that it is going to have an impact on your business whether you like it or not.
If you are willing to make a change than you have to follow the theory of
- RIGHT HOOK
- ASK (not expect to receive)
Give people value before you go asking them to give you value. If you don’t do that its plain and simple
“YOUR SOCIAL MEDIA MARKETING WILL FAIL!”
On the flip side if you do follow the theory you will see significant results over time. You should always try to provide people with more value then you want and are asking for in return!
On social media, your business/brand develops its own personality. It becomes a “person”. People can interact with it. It’s no longer just a presence from “on high” that’s unreachable and impersonal. Social media gives you an unbeatable opportunity to really get to know your customers and potential customers. Use it, or lose out!
You can either choose to take this on or turn around and ignore it and lose out. Anyway, I’ll leave that up to you as it’s your choice whether you want to win or not because it’s that plain and simple.
